Freeform Releases its New Lineup of TV and Movie Offerings for May 2018

FREEFORM RELEASES ITS NEW LINEUP OF TV AND MOVIE OFFERINGS FOR MAY 2018
TWO-HOUR SEASON FINALE OF FAN FAVORITE ‘SHADOWHUNTERS’ TO AIR
TUESDAY, MAY 15
Freeform to Celebrate the Royal Wedding throughout May with Princess-themed Programming, a Royal Sleepover, and a Live Simulcast of Good Morning America’s Royal Wedding Coverage
Freeform announces its programming schedule for May 2018, which includes the two-hour season finale of fan-favorite series “Shadowhunters,” and season finales of “Famous in Love,” and freshman mermaid drama, “Siren.”
To celebrate the highly-anticipated Royal Wedding, Freeform will air a special “Happily Ever After”-themed Funday Weekend Movie Marathon on May 12 and 13, with beloved Disney Princess movies “Mulan,” “Brave,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Beauty and the Beast (1991)” and more . On Friday, May 18, Freeform will host a “Royal Wedding Slumber Party” to get viewers ready for the highly anticipated nuptials.
Additional programming arriving to Freeform this month includes the Freeform premieres of “Bigger Fatter Liar,” and several “eventized” movie blocks to include fan-favorite Disney and Disney-Pixar movies.

“Famous in Love” Season 2 – Wednesdays through May 30, 2018
May 2 (8:00 – 9:01 p.m. EDT) – Episode 2006 – “The Goodbye Boy”
As “Locked” wraps production, the cast looks to the next steps in their careers, while Jake and Cassie also have to make decisions about their future. Jordan continues his Oscar® campaign press tour with a stop at “Good Morning America.” (Guest starring Ginger Zee, Rob Estes, Danielle Campbell and Claudia Lee)
May 9 (8:00 – 9:01 p.m. EDT) – Episode 2007 – “Guess Who’s (Not) Coming to Sundance”
Paige and Jake continue to feel further apart as Jake and Billy head to a film festival, while Paige stays in LA for a big interview and cover photo shoot. Meanwhile, Jordan has to deal with the fallout from his recent revelation and Nina takes part in a bidding war for a highly-wanted film script. (Guest starring Rob Estes, Danielle Campbell, Shawn Christian and Claudia Lee)
May 16 (8:00 – 9:01 p.m. EDT) – Episode 2008 – “Look Who’s Stalking”
Paige works with police to help find her stalker, while Pablo $$ starts to show a new side to Tangey and Alexis makes a decision that lands her in hot water. (Guest starring Romeo Miller, Danielle Campbell, Sofia Carson and Claudia Lee)
May 23 (8:00 – 9:01 p.m. EDT) – Episode 2009 – “Full Mental Jacket”
Paige and Rainer head to NYC to promote “Locked,” but after everything that has happened, Paige realizes that fame isn’t all that she expected. Meanwhile, Jordan is under a lot of stress and Cassie struggles with her relationship with Adam. (Guest starring Vanessa Williams and Claudia Lee)
May 30 (8:00 – 9:01 p.m. EDT) – Episode 2010 – “The Good, The Bad and The Crazy”
Everyone finds their futures up in the air in the dramatic season finale of “Famous in Love.”  (Guest starring Vanessa Williams, Shawn Christian, Danielle Campbell, Sofia Carson, Romeo Miller and Claudia Lee)

With the Owl’s identity revealed, Alec, Isabelle, and Clary head to Alicante to try and find a way to stop him. Luke and Simon team up to track Lilith’s latest possible victim. Maia reflects on her past. (Guest starring Anna Hopkins, Chai Hansen, Alexandra Ordolis and Mimi Kuzyk) 
May 8 (8:00 – 9:01 p.m. EDT) –Episode 3008 – “A Heart of Darkness”
Magnus, Alec and Isabelle try to reach Jace inside The Owl, but even as powerful as Magnus is, can he help the Lightwoods retrieve their brother from his demon prison? Maia and Jordan join Simon on the hunt for Lilith, while Luke tries to find a way to get to Clary. (Guest starring Anna Hopkins, Chai Hansen, Alexandra Ordolis and Nicola Correia-Damude) 
May 15 (8:00 – 9:01 p.m. EDT) –Episode 3009 – “Familia Ante Omnia”
Clary faces down an old foe in an attempt to find answers about Lilith’s plan. Alec and Magnus turn to Lorenzo Rey for help, while Lilith finds a new ally. Luke must choose between his pack and his family, as Simon is forced to deal with his past. (Guest starring Anna Hopkins, Chai Hansen and Javier Muñoz) 
May 15 (9:01 – 10:02 p.m. EDT) –Episode 3010 – “Erchomai”
In the climactic mid-season finale, the team scrambles to find a way to put a stop to Lilith’s plan coming to fruition. But going up against their biggest opponent yet, their odds are not looking good. Meanwhile, Simon makes a heartbreaking choice with Isabelle’s help and Magnus reconnects with a powerful person from his past. (Guest starring Anna Hopkins, Jack Yang, Alexandra Ordolis and Nicola Correia-Damude) 
“Siren” Season 1 – Thursdays through May 24, 2018
May 3 (8:00 – 9:01 p.m. EDT) – Episode 1007 – “Dead in the Water”
When Ryn is taken in for questioning, Maddie rushes to her rescue. Meanwhile, Ben and Xander return to the deep sea to search for answers, only to be met by an uninvited guest.
May 10 (8:00 – 9:01 p.m. EDT) – Episode 1008 – “Being Human”
Bristol Cove mourns a loss causing Ryn to experience a new human emotion.
May 17 (8:00 – 9:01 p.m. EDT) – Episode 1009 – “Street Fight”
Donna comes ashore with two other members of her colony to bring Ryn back home. When mermaids once again begin wreaking havoc throughout the town, Dale tries to put an end to it once and for all.
May 24 (8:00 – 9:01 p.m. EDT) – Episode 1010 – “Aftermath”
In the season finale, the enchanting siren song takes hold of Ben and Decker. Meanwhile, Dale must answer for the escalating crime in Bristol Cove.
FUNDAY: HAPPILY EVER AFTER EDITION
The festivities begin the weekend before the royal extravaganza when Freeform airs a “Funday: Happily Ever After Edition” movie marathon, highlighting beloved Disney Princesses and fairy tale heroines from far and wide who all found their happy endings. An encore of Freeform’s “Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings” special will also be featured. “Funday: Happily Ever After Edition” airs SATURDAY, MAY 12 through SUNDAY, MAY 13 from 7:00 a.m. EDT/PDT to 7:30 p.m. EDT/PDT.

“ROYAL SLUMBER PARTY”
On Friday, May 18, the evening before the royal wedding, beginning at 7:45 p.m. EDT/PDT, viewers are cordially invited to Freeform’s “Royal Slumber Party,” featuring wedding-themed movies that will air throughout the night in anticipation of the regal bridal fete. Freeform viewers can tweet along with @FreeformTV during the movies.

SPECIAL EDITION OF “GOOD MORNING AMERICA” ROYAL WEDDING COVERAGE
The morning of Saturday, May 19 at 5:00 a.m. EDT/2:00 A.M. PDT, “Good Morning America’s” live wedding coverage will be simulcast on Freeform. “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts and “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir will lead live coverage from Windsor, England. Roberts and Muir will be joined by a team of reporters and royal experts, including “Good Morning America” weekend anchor and “The View” co-host Paula Faris; correspondents Deborah Roberts, James Longman, Adrienne Bankert; contributors Imogen Lloyd Webber, Victoria Murphy, Omid Scobie and British biographer Andrew Morton, who will bring live reports of the arrivals, ceremony, carriage ride around Windsor and other festivities from various locations throughout Windsor and London.
