Mill Creek Entertainment has given us the scoop that June 6th will see the release of the mini-series King Solomon's Mines on DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc! There have been many a film version of this classic novel, but the only TV adaption we know of here was the 2004 two-part production starring Patrick Swayze (Road House, Point Break, Dirty Dancing, Red Dawn) as "Allan Quartermain" (spelling per the credits). Alison Doody (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade) and Roy Marsden (P.D. James) also starred. The DVD release will cost $14.98 SRP, and the Blu-ray Disc version will be priced at $19.98 SRP. No other details are available yet, and package art is still being finalized. Stay tuned for updates, as further info becomes available!
