Golden Globe and Emmy-nominee William Conrad ("Cannon") stars as former police officer, turned district attorney, J.L. McCabe, a.k.a "The Fatman." McCabe, his special investigator Jake Styles (Joe Penny) and assistant D.A. Derek Mitchell (Alan Campbell) - each with their unique personalities and distinct styles - strike down on crime, investigating murders, whodunits, kidnappings and more.

Nominated for three Prime-time Emmy Awards, "Jake and the Fatman" aired for five seasons (from 1987 to 1992) on CBS. Originally set in Los Angeles, the series moved to Hawaii for its second and third seasons, before returning to LA for the remainder of its run. In the fourth season, "Jake and the Fatman" introduced Dr. Mark Sloan (Dick Van Dyke), setting up the spin-off series "Diagnosis: Murder."
