NEW YORK, NY (August 23, 2017) – MTV today announced that Sir Rod Stewart, one of best-selling artists of all-time and a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, will perform with multi-platinum selling group DNCE for the re-imagined version of one of the most iconic dance tracks of all time, Stewart’s “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” at the 2017 “VMAs.”  Grammy nominated singer-songwriter, Demi Lovato, with one of the most powerful voices both on and off the stage will perform “Sorry Not Sorry.” The song, from her highly anticipated sixth studio album, has quickly proven to be one of the year’s biggest hits.  Both performances will originate from Las Vegas in a special remote performance feature presented by PEPSI®.  The 2017 “VMAs” will air live from the “Fabulous” Forum in Inglewood, Calif. on Sunday, August 27 AT 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.

The re-imagined version of Stewart’s iconic “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” featuring DNCE will be released on Friday, August 25th. Originally released in 1978 on his classic ninth album Blondes Have More Fun, the song stands out as one of his signature hits, peaking at #1 in six countries including the US where it reigned at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart four weeks in February 1979 and was named among Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Songs of All Time.”

In addition to the remote performances, PEPSI® will bring fans even more access to the artists and music of the VMAs with a newly added livestream of the red carpet spectacle on Twitter (mtv.twitter.com), as well as on MTV.com (vma.mtv.com), beginning the hour leading up to the on-air pre-show (3:00 p.m. PT/6:00 p.m. ET) straight through to the main event.
