Documentary Chronicles Unique Bond between NFL Coaching Legends Bill Belichick and Bill Parcells

The next documentary from ESPN Films' Peabody and Emmy award-winning 30 for 30 series will be "The Two Bills," featuring legendary football coaches Bill Belichick and Bill Parcells being interviewed together for the first time since 1991. Directed by Ken Rodgers and produced by NFL Films, "The Two Bills" will premiere Thursday, Feb. 1, at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.

"The Two Bills" traces the relationship between these two coaching masters that spans over four decades. They first worked side by side as assistants with the New York Giants, and after Parcells took over as head coach, they won two Super Bowls together. Buttressed by what he learned from Parcells, Belichick has won five Super Bowls of his own with the Patriots and has the opportunity to capture yet another at next week's Super Bowl LII in Minnesota.

Through all the ups and downs of their careers, including some memorable games when they were on opposite sides of the field, they forged a bond that few men of their stature have ever experienced. Two Bills, but one epic story. Trailer: http://es.pn/2DdEDoj

"To say that Bill Belichick and Bill Parcells have strong personalities would be a huge understatement," said Rodgers. "When we set out to make this film, our number one goal was to find out how these two strong-willed coaches, with such determined individual viewpoints, could work together for as long as they did. But by the time we were done, we couldn't imagine them not working together for all those years. Their histories and philosophies are more intertwined than we could have imagined. We're thrilled they chose to share that history with all of us."

The documentary features interviews with Lawrence Taylor, Robert Kraft, Romeo Crennel, Charlie Weis, Scott Pioli, Ty Law, and more. It will be available on VOD and in the ESPN App immediately following the conclusion of the film on February 1.

"The opportunity to tell this story wasn't one we had to think twice about - rarely do two legends with such great history sit down and open up," said ESPN Films vice president and executive producer Libby Geist. "Ken's style of letting their interview guide the narrative in 'The Two Bills' is something we think football fans won't be able to turn away from."
