ABC’s “The View” averaged 3.272 million Total Viewers, 560,000 Women 25-54 and 376,000 Women 18-49, during the week of January 8, 2018, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “The View” outperformed CBS’ “The Talk” (2.850 million, 446,000 and 313,000, respectively) during the week in Total Viewers (+422,000), Women 25-54 (+114,000) and Women 18-49 (+63,000), beating the CBS program by its largest Total Viewer advantage of the season.
For the 2nd week in a row, “The View” improved over the previous week (3.138 million and 539,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+4%) and Women 25-54 (+4%), scoring its most watched week in over 3 years – since w/o 11/24/14.
“The View” was up year to year in Total Viewers (+5% – 3.272 million vs. 3.115 million).
On Friday (1/12/18), with guest co-host Wendy Williams, “The View” delivered its most watched telecast (3.464 million) in nearly 3 years – since 2/23/15, based on full-length telecasts.
Season to date, “The View” is posting gains compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers (+1% – 2.917 million vs. 2.896 million), marking its most watched season in 3 years – since the 2014-15 season. 
In addition, “The View” leads CBS’ “The Talk” across the board, increasing its advantages from the same point last season in Total Viewers (314,000 vs. 157,000), Women 25-54 (111,000 vs. 50,000) and Women 18-49 (69,000 vs. 66,000). In fact, “The View” is posting its largest season leads over the CBS program in Total Viewers and Women 25-54 in 5 years – since the 2012-13 season.

ABC Monday Prime (8:00-11:00 p.m. – 7.5 million and 1.8/6 in AD18-49):
With rising numbers for “The Bachelor” and “The Good Doctor,” ABC dominated Monday night over runner-up CBS by 1.5 million viewers (7.5 million vs. 6.0 million) and by 64% in Adults 18-49 (1.8/6 vs. 1.1/4). In fact, it was ABC’s 4th straight week as Monday’s No. 1 broadcaster with young adults. The Net spiked 20% to a new Monday season high in Adults 18-49.

  • Airing the top shows on the night, ABC’s “The Good Doctor” was Monday’s most watched TV show overall (9.3 million) and “The Bachelor” was the night’s No. 1 program in Adults 18-49(1.8/6). 



“The Bachelor” (8:00-10:00 p.m. – 6.6 million and 1.8/6 in AD18-49):
From 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC’s “The Bachelor” won its 2-hour slot over CBS original comedies by 6% in Total Viewers (6.6 million vs. 6.2 million) and by 50% in Adults 18-49 (1.8/6 vs. 1.2/4). “The Bachelor” jumped week to week by 1.0 million viewers (6.5 million vs. 5.6 million) and by 29% in Adults 18-49 (1.8/6 vs. 1.4/5) to deliver new season highs.

“The Good Doctor” (10:00-11:00 p.m. – 9.3 million and 1.7/6 in AD18-49):
In the 10 o’clock hour, ABC’s “The Good Doctor” (1.7/6) beat its combined drama competition on CBS (“Scorpion” = 0.9/3) and NBC (“The Brave” = 0.7/3) by 6% in Adults 18-49. In addition, the ABC freshman drama outdrew CBS’ runner-up “Scorpion” by 3.7 million viewers in the hour (9.3 million vs. 5.6 million).

  • “The Good Doctor” added 1.0 million viewers (9.3 million vs. 8.3 million) week to week and built 6% in Adults 18-49 (1.7/6 vs. 1.6/6), drawing its biggest audience and tying its top young adult rating in 2 months– since 11/20/17.

Doubling its lead-in at 9:00 p.m. and facing strong all-original competition, the ABC documentary “Truth and Lies” jumped week to week with “The Tonya Harding Story.” “Truth and Lies: The Tonya Harding Story” won its  2-hour time period with Adults 18-49 (1.4/6) and Adults 25-54 (2.0/6), and ran a strong 2nd with Total Viewers (6.6 million) to CBS.

  • Building from its first to second hour, the ABC documentary dominated from 10:00-11:00 p.m.(against original dramas on CBS and NBC) with the Net’s strongest non-sports performance in Thursday’s 10 o’clock hour in 1-year– since 1/5/17 in Total Viewers (6.9 million) and Adults 25-54 (2.1/7) and since 1/26/17 in Adults 18-49 (1.5/6).



  • ABC’s “Truth and Lies: The Tonya Harding Story” built by double digits across the board from the prior week’s “Truth and Lies: Waco” in the same time period (5.0 million, 1.1/4 and 1.6/5 on 1/4/18), adding 32% in Total Viewers, 27% in Adults 18-49 and 25% in Adults 25-54.  In fact on all three measures, “The Tonya Harding Story” delivered the franchise’s 2nd highest numbers among ABC’s six “Truth and Lies” documentaries that have aired thus far, trailing only its debut broadcast (“Menendez Brothers” on 1/5/17).

For the first week of 2018 (w/o 1/1/18), ABC’s “The Chew” kicked off the New Year with new season highs in Total Viewers (2.728 million), Women 18-49 (360,000/0.6 rating) and Women 25-54 (502,000/0.8 rating). In fact, “The Chew” started 2018 with its most watched week in more than 1 year and its best performance in both key Women demos in nearly 10 months – since the weeks of 11/21/16 and 3/31/17, respectively.

Posting double-digit advantages during the opening week of the new year, “The Chew” outdelivered CBS’ “The Talk” for the 30th straight week among Women 18-49 (+16% – 360,000 vs. 310,000) and for the 22nd week in a row among Women 25-54 (+13% – 502,000 vs. 445,000).

ABC’s “The View” averaged 3.138 million Total Viewers, 539,000 Women 25-54 and 379,000 Women 18-49, during the week of January 1, 2018, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “The View” opened the first week of 2018 with season highs across all key target demos. In fact, “The View” drew its most watched week in nearly 1 year – since w/o 1/23/17. 

“The View” beat CBS’ “The Talk” (2.809 million, 445,000 and 310,000, respectively) during the week in Total Viewers (+329,000), Women 25-54 (+94,000) and Women 18-49 (+69,000).

On Friday (1/5/18), “The View” scored its most watched telecast (3.374 million) in nearly 1 year – since 1/24/17. In addition, on Tuesday (1/2/18), “The View” turned in its top telecast of the season in Women 25-54 (610,000) and Women 18-49 (440,000)In fact, it was the ABC program’s top Women 18-49 telecast in 10 months – since 3/14/17.

“The View” improved on the year-ago week in Total Viewers (+3% – 3.138 million vs. 3.045 million).

Season to date, “The View” is posting gains compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers (+4,000 – 2.884 million vs. 2.880 million), marking its most watched season in 3 years – since the 2014-15 season. 

In addition, “The View” leads CBS’ “The Talk” across the board, increasing its advantages from the same point last season in Total Viewers (301,000 vs. 148,000), Women 25-54 (109,000 vs. 47,000) and Women 18-49 (68,000 vs. 64,000). In fact, “The View” is posting its largest season leads over the CBS program in Total Viewers and Women 25-54 in 5 years – since the 2012-13 season.

NOTE: Due to New Year’s Day on Monday (1/1/18), “The View” was pre-empted for the Rose Parade, while “The Talk” was coded as a special. Each telecast is excluded from the weekly averages. ABC’s and CBS’ weekly averages are based on four days (Tuesday-Friday).

  • Monday
Featuring the Season 22 opener of “The Bachelor” and a repeat of “The Good Doctor” pilot episode, ABC stood as the No. 1 broadcaster on the first night of 2018 in Adults 18-49 (1.2/4), beating NBC’s original/premiere lineup by 50% (0.8/2 for “The Wall”/”Better Late Than Never”/”Better Late Than Never”) and Fox’s original dramas by 71% (0.7/2 for “Lucifer”/”The Gifted”). In fact, ABC ranked No. 1 in each half-hour of the night with Adults 18-49.
  • ABC’s “The Bachelor” came back as Monday’s No. 1 TV series with Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and across all key Women (W18-34/W18-49/W25-54).

“The Bachelor” (8:00-10:01 p.m. – 5.5 million and 1.5/5 in AD18-49):
From 8:00-10:01 p.m., the season premiere of ABC’s “The Bachelor” beat NBC in the 2-hour slot by 88% with “The Wall” and time period premiere of “Better Late Than Never” in Adults 18-49 (1.5/5 vs. 0.8/2). 
  • The Bachelor” opener equaled a non-sports season high for ABC in the 2-hour time period with Adults 18-49.

“The Good Doctor-R” (10:01-11:00 p.m. – 4.1 million and 0.7/3 in AD18-49):
At 10:01 p.m., ABC’s repeat of “The Good Doctor” pilot tied NBC’s original “Better Late Than Never” as the No. 1 entertainment series in the hour in Total Viewers (4.1 million) and Adults 18-49 (0.7/3).
Tuesday
  • At 8:00 p.m., ABC’s “The Middle” was up from its last telecast in mid-December (12/12/17) by 12% in Total Viewers (6.4 million vs. 5.7 million) and by 15% in Adults 18-49 (1.5/6 vs. 1.3/5), marking its most watched telecast in nearly 1 year and hitting a best-since-premiere young adult number – since 2/7/17 and 10/3/17. “The Middle” was Tuesday’s No. 1 comedy.
  • At 8:30 p.m., ABC’s “Fresh Off the Boat” built on its most recent telecast by 8% in Total Viewers (4.2 million vs. 3.9 million) and spiked 20% in Adults 18-49 (1.2/4 vs. 1.0/4) to a best-since-premiere young adult number – since 10/3/17.

  • At 9:00 p.m., ABC’s “black-ish” outdrew Fox’s debut of “LA to Vegas” by 5% in Total Viewers (4.0 million vs. 3.8 million) and tied in Adults 18-49 (1.1/4). The ABC comedy returned within 1-tenth of its last telecast in Adults 18-49, which was its highest number in 2 months – since 10/10/17.
  • At 9:30 p.m., ABC’s repeat “Modern Family” beat Fox’s original “The Mick” in both Total Viewers (3.2 million vs. 2.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (0.9/3 vs. 0.8/3).

  • At 10:00 p.m., “Kevin (Probably) Saves the World” built over its last original telecast (12/12/17) in Total Viewers (+4% – 2.6 million vs. 2.5 million) and surged 17% in Adults 18-49 (0.7/3 vs. 0.6/3), equaling its largest audience since early November – since 11/7/17.
Wednesday
With its comedies returning for their first telecasts of the new year and the season premiere of “Match Game,” ABC ranked No. 2 on Wednesday in Adults 18-49 (1.3/5) to Fox with its premiere/debut lineup (“The X-Files”/”9-1-1”). 
  • Despite the increased competition on the night, each of ABC’s comedies returned even or steady after 3 weeks off with young adults:  “The Goldbergs” (1.5/6 vs. 1.6/7), “Speechless” (1.1/4 vs. 1.2/5), “Modern Family” (1.7/6 vs. 1.7/7) and “American Housewife” (1.3/5 vs. 1.3/5).  At 9:00 p.m., ABC’s “Modern Family” ranked No. 1 in its half-hour with Adults 18-49, tying Fox’s debut of “9-1-1.”

  • At 10:00 p.m., ABC’s season premiere of “Match Game” shot up over its last telecast in May(on 5/14/17) by 38% in Total Viewers (3.6 million vs. 2.6 million) and by 50% in Adults 18-49 (0.9/4 vs. 0.6/2), topping its last 6 originals for its best numbers since February – since 2/22/17. “Match Game” tied CBS’ “Criminal Minds” as the No. 2 entertainment series in the hour with Adults 18-49.
Thursday
“Truth and Lies: Waco” (9:00-11:00 p.m – 5.0 million and 1.1/4 in AD18-49): 
Spiking over its lead-in at 9:00 p.m. (+79%/+57%/+78%) and airing against strong all-original/debut competition, the ABC documentary “Truth and Lies: Waco” took 2nd place among the broadcast networks in its 2-hour time periodwith Total Viewers (5.0 million), Adults 18-49 (1.1/4-tie) and Adults 25-54 (1.6/5). And at 10:00 p.m., “Truth and Lies” moved up to tie for No. 1 in Adults 18-49 (1.1/5) and Adults 25-54 (1.6/5), against originals of NBC’s “Chicago Fire” and CBS’ “S.W.A.T.”
  • ABC’s “Truth and Lies: Waco” grew across the board from the most recent “Truth and Lies: The Murder of Laci Peterson” in September (4.6 million, 0.9/4 and 1.4/4 on 9/14/17), gaining 9% in Total Viewers and jumping by 22% in Adults 18-49 and by 14% in Adults 25-54. In fact, in both key Adult demos, “Waco” was the 2nd highest of ABC’s five “Truth and Lies” documentaries that have aired so far, behind only “Menendez Brothers” (on 1/5/17).

Friday
Featuring the debut of “Child Support” into the first airings of the new year for “S.H.I.E.L.D.” and20/20,” ABC ranked No. 2 on Friday in Adults 18-49 (0.8/3-tie). The Net scored a 15-week high on the night, equaling a season bestin a tie with season premiere Friday on 9/29/17.  
  • At 8:00 p.m., the series premiere of “Child Support” (4.4 million) opened as broadcast TV’s most watched Friday unscripted debut in nearly 8 years– since “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution” on 3/26/10. In addition, the new show tied for No. 1 in the hour in Adults 18-49 (0.9/4) at a 15-week high for ABC in the slot, matching the “Inhumans” debut in September (on 9/29/17).

  • At 9:01 p.m., ABC’s “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” jumped 17% from its last telecast two weeks earlier in Adults 18-49 (0.7/3 vs. 0.6/3 on 12/22/17) to tie a season high.
  • Building over its lead-in at 10:01 p.m., ABC’s “20/20” shot up week to week in Total Viewers (+83% – 4.2 million vs. 2.3 million), Adults 18-49 (+100% – 0.8/3 vs. 0.4/2) and Adults 25-54 (+120% – 1.1/4 vs. 0.5/2). The ABC newsmagazine delivered its most watched telecast this season and also set new season highs in each of the key Adult demos. “20/20” had the first interview with Gypsy Rose Blanchard from prison about her murder conviction in her mother’s death and life with her mother.

Sunday
Opposite NBC’s “Golden Globes” coverage and an NFL-overrun driven Fox on Sunday evening, ABC’s “America’s Funniest Home Videos” and “Shark Tank” returned for their first telecasts in 1 month (since 12/3/17) with big gains and season highs.

  • In the 10 o’clock hour, a second installment of ABC’s “Shark Tank” topped its last original in the slot (on 11/12/17) by 8% with viewers (3.9 million vs. 3.6 million) and by 38% with young adults (1.1/4 vs. 0.8/3).

Opposite ESPN’s down-to-the-wire overtime College Football National Championship game (Alabama-Georgia), ABC emerged as the entertainment leader on Monday in Adults 18-49 (1.5/5) with a 67% advantage over runner-up CBS (0.9/3) and nearly doubling NBC’s original lineup (+88% – 0.8/3). ABC was also the most watched non-sports network overall, topping CBS by 1.3 million viewers during primetime (6.4 million vs. 5.1 million). 

  • The Net marked its most watched Monday in 5 weeks (since 12/4/17) and grew over its year-ago performance against the championship college football game (on 1/2/17) by 14% in Total Viewers.



  • The season’s No. 1 new show and TV’s top dramaoverall, ABC’s “The Good Doctor” returned to original at 10:00 p.m. for the first time in over one month to stand as Monday’s No. 1 series in Total Viewers (8.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.6/5). Despite its holiday break, “The Good Doctor” held even with last telecast in December in L+SD Adults 18-49, while climbing with Women 18-34 (+7%) and Women 18-49 (+5%).

  • ABC’s “The Bachelor” stood as Monday’s No. 2 TV series in Adults 18-49 (1.4/5) holding a 40% advantage over its NBC unscripted competition on the night (“The Wall’ = 1.0/3 from 8:00-9:00 p.m.). From 8:00-10:00 p.m., “The Bachelor” held steady week to week despite the increased competition.

In fact, “Kimmel” delivered its best performance with Adults 18-49 in more than 6 months– since the NBA Finals-led week of 6/12/17.

ABC’s “Kimmel” outdelivered “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” among Adults 18-49 on Wednesday (+7% – 692,000 vs. 644,000) and Friday (+2% – 630,000 vs. 619,000) to virtually tie the CBS late-night program for the week (652,000 vs. 674,000). “Kimmel” was the week’s 2nd most watched late-night talk show (2.405 million), behind only “Colbert.”

ABC News’ “World News Tonight with David Muir” ranked as the No. 1 evening newscast in Total Viewers (9.371 million) for the week of December 25, 2017, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. The ABC evening newscast outperformed “NBC Nightly News” (8.719 million) by its 2nd-largest lead of the season (+652,000). 

“World News Tonight” posted gains week to week (8.845 million, 1.783 million and 1.175 million, respectively, for w/o 12/18/17) in Total Viewers (+6%), Adults 25-54 (+6%) and Adults 18-49 (+12%), drawing its 2nd-largest overall audience of the season.   

For the 4th week in a row, “World News Tonight” improved on its Total Viewer count year to year (+5% – 9.371 million vs. 8.948 million on w/o 12/26/16).

Season to date, “World News Tonight” is delivering largest viewership in 13 years – since the 2004-05 season. “World News Tonight” is up in Total Viewers (+3% – 8.910 million vs. 8.616 million) compared to the same point last season.   

“World News Tonight” is ranking No. 1 in Total Viewers for the season for the 2nd year in a row.  In fact, “World News Tonight” is substantially increasing its lead over “NBC Nightly News” from last season (+1008% – 410,000 vs. 37,000), posting its largest season lead over the NBC program in 22 years – since the 1995-96 season.  In addition, “World News Tonight” is cutting its season margins by double digits in both Adults 25-54 (-51% – 129,000 vs. 261,000) and Adults 18-49 (-30% – 156,000 vs. 222,000).

 “World News Tonight” decreased its margins with “NBC Nightly News” by more than half from the previous week in Adults 25-54 (-70% – 105,000 vs. 349,000) and Adults 18-49 (-58% – 158,000 vs. 372,000), posting its closest news adult performance in 6 weeks – since w/o 11/13/17.

“World News Tonight” narrowed its year-to-year gap with “NBC Nightly News” in Adults 25-54 (-38% – 105,000 vs. 169,000).

For the week, “World News Tonight” beat the “CBS Evening News” by 2.517 million Total Viewers, by 421,000 Adults 25-54 and by 304,000 Adults 18-49.

NOTE: Due to NBA on Monday (12/25/17), “World News Tonight” did not air. “CBS Evening News” did not air on Friday (12/29/17) due to the Sun Bowl. “NBC Nightly News” did not air on Monday due to NFL and was retitled to “NBC Nitely News” on Friday. The telecast was excluded from the weekly averages. ABC’s weekly averages are based on four days (Tuesday–Friday), while CBS’s and NBC’s averages are based on three days (Tuesday–Thursday).

4th Quarter 2017 

ABC News’ “World News Tonight with David Muir” won the 4th Quarter 2017 in Total Viewers (8.910 million), based on Most Current Data from Nielsen Media Research. After also winning the year-ago quarter, “World News Tonight” delivered its first back-to-back 4th quarter wins in 21 years – since 4Q95 and 4Q96, respectively.

“World News Tonight” outdelivered “NBC Nightly News” (8.500 million) by its largest quarter margin (+410,000) in over 10 years – since 2Q07. In addition, “World News Tonight” won with largest 4th quarter lead over the NBC program in 22 years – since 4Q95.  

For the 2nd quarter in a row, “World News Tonight” posted across-the-board gains from the previous quarter (7.967 million, 1.656 million and 1.155 million, respectively, for 3Q17): Total Viewers (+12%), Adults 25-54 (+11%) and Adults 18-49 (+7%), drawing its largest overall quarter audience in nearly 2 years – since 1Q16.

Improving on its year-ago Total Viewer count for the 7th straight year (+4% – 8.910 million vs. 8.599 million for 4Q16)“World News Tonight” attracted its largest overall 4th quarter audience in 13 years – since 4Q04. “World News Tonight” stood as the only evening newscast to grow over 4Q16 as both “CBS Evening News” (-7%) and “NBC Nightly News” (-1%) lost viewers.

“World News Tonight” narrowed its margins from the year-ago quarter (4Q16) with “NBC Nightly News” by double digits in Adults 25-54 (-51% – 129,000 vs. 265,000) and Adults 18-49 (-31% – 156,000 vs. 227,000), posting its closest key adult performances during a 4th quarter in 3 years – since 4Q14.

For the 4th quarter, “World News Tonight” defeated the “CBS Evening News” by 2.326 million Total Viewersby 460,000 Adults 25-54 and by 312,000 Adults 18-49.

ABC’s “Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest,” which earned the annual program’s best-ever results, delivered the week’s Top 2 shows in prime among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 with Part 2 and Part 1, respectively, on Sunday.

  • Year to year, ABC was up the most among the major nets, jumping 20% in Adults 18-49 (1.2/5 vs. 1.0/4) over the year-ago week.

From 8:01-10:33 p.m., ABC’s primetime NBA coverage (Houston-Oklahoma) delivered the strongest primetime Christmas Day NBA telecast in 14 yearswith Total Viewers (5.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.8/7) – since 2003 with Houston-LA Lakers.

“ABC New Year’s Eve Primetime” (7:00-11:00 p.m. – 10.5 million and 3.0/12 in AD18-49):
With its New Year’s Eve lineup and repeat “AFV” leading off the night, ABC won the final night of 2017, beating an NFL-overrun-fueled Fox by 7% in Total Viewers (10.5 million vs. 9.8 million) and by 7% in Adults 18-49 (3.0/12 vs. 2.8/11). 

  • ABC scored it strongest non-sports Sunday since the 2017 Oscars in February – since 2/26/17.

Dominating its 2-hour time slot from 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC’s broadcast of “Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018 – ‘Part 1’” shot up by strong double digits from its year-ago telecast with Total Viewers (+59% – 10.5 million vs. 6.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (+63% – 3.1/13 vs. 1.9/7). Head to head in the 2-hour time period, ABC’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” towered over Fox’s competing “New Year’s Eve with Steve Harvey” (5.8 million and 1.8/7) by 81% in Total Viewers and by 72% in Adults 18-49.

“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve – Part 1” (11:30 p.m. -12:32 a.m.):
After setting all-time records in primetime, the first late-night segment of ABC’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” soared to 25.6 million viewers with an 8.2 rating among Adults 18-49 (10.6 million), marking the special’s biggest overall audience in at least 27 years – predating the start of Nielsen’s electronic database in September 1991.

  • ABC’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve – Part 1” outdelivered CBS’ 2017 “Grammy Awards” telecast by 5% in Adults 18-49 (8.2 rating vs. 7.8 rating on 2/12/17) to finish as the No. 1 music special of 2017.

  

  • “NYRE Part 1” shot up year to year by 5.3 million viewers (25.6 million vs. 20.3 million) and by 26% in Adults 18-49 (8.2 rating vs. 6.5 rating).   In fact the annual special drew its largest-ever crowd on electronic record and its 3rd highest young adult number.

“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve – Part 2” (1:09-2:07 a.m.):
Despite its late time period, the second late-night segment of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” attracted an average audience of 8.9 million Total Viewers and a 3.1 rating in Adults 18-49 (3.9 million).

  • The final segment of the show was also up by double digits year to year in Total Viewers (+24% – 8.9 million vs. 7.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (+24% – 3.1 rating vs. 2.5 rating), scoring its 2nd highest numbers ever on both measures – ABC began airing Part 2 in 2000.

Featuring the Season 22 opener of “The Bachelor” and a repeat of “The Good Doctor” pilot episode, ABC stood as the No. 1 broadcaster on the first night of 2018 in Adults 18-49 (1.2/4), beating NBC’s original/premiere lineup by 50% (0.8/2 for “The Wall”/”Better Late than Never”/”Better Late than Never”) and Fox’s original dramas by 71% (0.7/2 for “Lucifer”/”The Gifted”).   In fact, ABC ranked No. 1 in each half-hour of the night with Adults 18-49.

  • ABC’s “The Bachelor” came back as Monday’s No. 1 TV series with Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and across all key Women (W18-34/W18-49/W25-54).



“The Bachelor” (8:00-10:00 p.m. – 5.4 million and 1.5/5 in AD18-49):
From 8:00-10:00 p.m., the season premiere of ABC’s “The Bachelor” beat NBC in the 2-hour slot by 88% with “The Wall” and time period premiere of “Better Late than Never” in Adults 18-49 (1.5/5 vs. 0.8/2). 

  • The Bachelor” opener equaled a non-sports season high for ABC in the 2-hour time period with Adults 18-49.



“The Good Doctor-R” (10:00-11:00 p.m. – 4.2 million and 0.7/3 in AD18-49):
At 10:00 p.m., ABC’s repeat “The Good Doctor” pilot beat NBC’s original “Better Late than Never” as the most watched series in the hour (4.2 million vs. 4.1 million) and tied for No. 1 in Adults 18-49 (0.7/3).
