Maci Bookout trades the wild moments of motherhood for the uninhabited wild jungles of Nicaragua in a special super-fan episode of Discovery’s Naked and Afraid. On June 24, Maci and her male counterpart take on the trial of a lifetime and attempt 14 days without food, water, shelter, and clothing  in one of the harshest regions fan survivalists have ever faced.

The Naked and Afraid super-fan challenge joins together two complete strangers, lacking any primitive survival experience, to attempt their own 14-day challenge in the wild. Maci Bookout, and her partner Justin Tuell, an ICU nurse, test their mental and physical strength on television’s toughest survival challenge. Together, Maci and Justin encounter hungry predators, venomous reptiles, hyper-aggressive howler monkeys, and a punishing dry season that has left vegetation and fresh water scarce. Maci and Justin share a mutual love for Naked and Afraid, but will their admiration for the series carry them through to the other side of a grueling 14-days?
