All-Time Best-Selling Female Artist Will Work With and Mentor Remaining 32 Artists During Knockout Rounds Beginning Monday, Oct. 29
Four-Time Emmy Award-Winning “The Voice” Continues Tonight as the Coaches Enlist Music Industry Powerhouses to Prepare Their Artists for the Battle Rounds
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — Oct. 23, 2018 — Multi-platinum global superstar and legendary music icon Mariah Carey is set to join NBC’s four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series “The Voice” as a key advisor for the Season 15 Knockout Rounds beginning Monday, Oct. 29.

As a key advisor, Carey, the best-selling female artist of all time, will work with and mentor the remaining 32 artists with coaches Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

Season 15 of “The Voice” continues tonight (8-10 p.m. ET/PT) with the Battle Rounds. The coaches enlist the help of top recording artists to offer their knowledge and skills as advisors. Kelly Clarkson teams up with Thomas Rhett; Jennifer Hudson with Halsey; Adam Levine with CeeLo Green; and Blake Shelton with Keith Urban.

In the next phase of the competition, the Knockout Rounds, the remaining 32 artists will be paired against a teammate once more, but this time they will select their own songs to perform individually while their direct competitor watches and waits. They are vying for their coach's confidence and decision to take them to the final and crucial round before the Live Performance Shows, the Live Playoffs.

As the Knockout Advisor, Mariah Carey will be on hand to work with all of the coaches and their teams as they prepare the artists for this challenge. But the coaches alone will choose the winner, and the artist not selected will be available to be stolen by another coach. In addition to their one steal, each coach has the opportunity to attempt to save an artist they just eliminated during Knockouts. However, if another coach presses his/her steal button, the artist can then decide whether to go to a new team or return to their former coach. Each coach has one steal and one save available during Knockouts.

Mariah Carey is the best-selling female artist of all time with more than 200 million albums sold to date and 18 Billboard Hot 100 #1 singles (17 self-penned), more than any solo artist in history. Carey is a singer/songwriter/producer recognized with multiple Grammy Awards, numerous American Music Awards, Billboard’s Artist of the Decade Award, the World Music Award for World’s Best Selling Female Artist of the Millennium and BMI’s Icon Award for her outstanding achievements in songwriting, to name a few. With her distinct five-octave vocal range, prolific songwriting and producing talent, Carey is truly the template of the modern pop performance.

Carey’s ongoing impact has transcended the music industry to leave an indelible imprint upon the world at large. She made her entry into the world of independent film with her performance in “WiseGirls,” starring alongside Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino. In 2009, Carey was recognized with the Breakthrough Performance Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival for her critically acclaimed role in Lee Daniels’ “Precious.” Carey went on to appear in Daniels’ stellar ensemble piece “The Butler” (2013). A Congressional Award recipient, Carey has generously donated her time and energy to a range of philanthropic causes near to her heart, including Save the Music, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, World Hunger Relief and the Elton John AIDS Foundation, among many others. A tremendous supporter of children’s charities, both domestic and international, Carey founded Camp Mariah in partnership with the Fresh Air Fund, a retreat for inner-city children to explore career development. Carey is represented by Roc Nation, UTA and Imprint PR. For more information, click here: www.mariahcarey.com
