From executive producers Ellen DeGeneres, Emily Kapnek (“Suburgatory”), Jeff Kleeman (“Little Big Shots”) and Dean Holland (“Parks and Recreation”) comes “Splitting Up Together,” the story of Lena (Jenna Fischer, “The Office”) and Martin (Oliver Hudson, “Scream Queens”), whose marriage is reignited by their divorce. 

Lena and Martin were once madly in love. But, like many marriages, time and circumstance eventually took their toll. Finding themselves in a platonic marriage, they decide that everyone’s lives would be better served if they got a divorce. Still wanting the best for their three kids and facing a daunting real estate market, the couple decides not to sell their house and to “bird’s nest” instead. One parent will live in the house as the on-duty parent taking care of the kids, while the off-duty parent will live in the detached garage, doing whatever he or she pleases. They will switch off every other week.

Season 2 of “Splitting Up Together” will return right where we left off – the morning after. After their unexpected hookup, the second season finds Lena (Jenna Fischer) and Martin (Oliver Hudson) navigating their feelings and toying with what a reunion might look like. They have a second chance at love and, for the moment, they are blissfully unaware of the pregnancy cliffhanger from the season finale. Maya (Diane Farr), Camille (Lindsay Price) and Arthur (Bobby Lee) are hot on Lisa Apple’s (guest star Monica Barbaro) trail to confront her about the pregnancy rumors. As Lena and Martin continue to work through their issues, things become even more complicated for them when all things come to a head at the end of the first episode. For all the bumps along the way, the one constant is that Lena and Martin remain great co-parents to Mae (Olivia Keville), Mason (Van Crosby) and Sander (Milo), and continue to live the “bird’s nest” lifestyle; but how long will that last?

“Splitting Up Together” stars Jenna Fischer as Lena, Oliver Hudson as Martin, Bobby Lee as Arthur, Diane Farr as Maya, Lindsay Price as Camille, Olivia Keville as Mae, Van Crosby as Mason and Sander Thomas as Milo.

Mette Heeno, Mie Andreasen and Hella Joof are also executive producers, along with DeGeneres, Kapnek, Kleeman and Holland, of “Splitting Up Together,” which is based on the original Danish series of the same name created by Heeno. The series is produced by A Very Good Production and Piece of Pie Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
