AMC NETWORKS INTERNATIONAL – CENTRAL AND NORTHERN EUROPE RENEWS CARRIAGE AGREEMENT WITH TELEKOM ROMANIA FOR POPULAR KIDS’ NETWORK MINIMAX



Budapest, 31 May 2019 – AMC Networks International – Central and Northern Europe (AMCNI – CNE) announced today that it has renewed a distribution agreement for Minimax with Telekom Romania, one of the country’s leading telecommunications providers. As of 1 June, Telekom Romania’s basic channel package will feature the popular kids’ network.
Under the agreement, Minimax becomes available to nearly 85% of pay-TV subscribers in Romania, further strengthening the brand’s presence throughout Central and Eastern Europe. The channel, which expanded its airtime to a 24-hour service last year, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and is seen in five languages in 11 European countries.

Telekom Romania’s subscribers will have access to exclusive, new episodes of the series “Spirit: Riding Free” from DreamWorks Animation, alongside summer weekend marathons of the popular “Masha and the Bear” animated series based on the children’s folk story. In July Minimax will debut the new season of “Littlest Pet Shop: A World of Our Own.” In August the channel will air popular movies to entertain the entire family from its newly enriched film library, alongside other new programming.
