Broad City - MOD Blu-ray Disc for 'Season 2'; Possible BD for 'Season 1' 2nd season Blu set is now available from Amazon/CreateSpace

Two weeks ago, on January 10th, Broad City - Season 3 was released on DVD format. About a week or so before that, Amazon's CreateSpace MOD program began selling a high-def Blu-ray Disc set titled Broad City - Season 2...and those who ordered it, began to receive their copies just days before Season 3 came out on DVD format. Amazon quickly pulled the title, however, because it somehow contained the wrong episodes! According to various readers who emailed us (and we thank each of you), the discs they got from the "Season 2" Blu-ray set actually contained third season episodes on them. So this item was immediately withdrawn from Amazon, and order fulfillment was suspended at the time. We learned all of this, all at the same time, so we didn't want to post news until we had gotten a resolution to the matter. Now Amazon shows that Broad City - Season 2 Blu-ray Discs are back-in-stock, presumably with the correct episodes this time around (although we haven't gotten word yet saying for sure that this is the case). Orders will now be fulfilled, so we now feel safe in bringing you this news! Cost is $14.99 SRP, and cover art is below. There is no separate listing for a Blu-ray version of the third season, at least at this time. However, it seems to us that such an item has to be in-the-works. We would presume so, anyway, if the studio had high-def third season episodes available to accidentally put on the first printing of the second season BD sets. Makes sense, right? And what about a Blu-ray version of Broad City - Season 1? Well, Amazon.com has a listing for a first season set, with "square cover art" like a Blu-ray would have, and at the same $14.99 SRP price of the Season 2 BD version (whereas the DVD version is $9.99 SRP instead). However, Amazon's listing which SEEMS to be a Blu-ray version of the first season, is coded there as a DVD format, not a Blu-ray format. We've tried hitting the "report incorrect information" link to tell Amazon that this may possibly be coded in the wrong disc format, but after two weeks it remains unchanged. Perhaps that's because the title isn't released yet, though, and so it doesn't have a ship date yet. Instead Amazon says, "You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." We'll keep an eye on it, of course, and let you know when the situation changes. Stay tuned!
