Outcast - Blu-ray and DVD Plans for 'Season 1' of the Cinemax-Aired Series No availability date yet, but Amazon is taking advance orders for DVDs and Blu-ray Discs

From the Creator of The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman's Outcast is based on the Skybound/Image comic. It's produced for CINEMAX by FOX International Studios (FIS). OUTCAST follows Kyle Barnes, a young man who has been plagued by possession since he was a child. Now an adult, he embarks on a journey to find answers, but what he uncovers could mean the end of life on Earth as we know it. As noted in the description quoted above, last summer's Cinemax series revolves around "Kyle Barnes," who is played by Patrick Fugit (previously seen on TV in guest roles for shows like ER and House). Also among the main cast are Julia Crockett, Kate Lyn Sheil (House of Cards, The Girlfriend Experience), Philip Glenister (Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes), Wrenn Schmidt (Boardwalk Empire, The Americans, Person of Interest), David Denman (The Office, upcoming film Power Rangers), Reg E. Cathey (The Wire, House of Cards, Oz), and Brent Spiner (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Threshold, Night Court, Independence Day). Amazon has now begun taking pre-orders for releases of Outcast - Season 1 on both DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc. These listings are prior to the official Fox Home Entertainment announcement for the item, though, so instead of a street date Amazon merely says "This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." Pricing is available, however, currently showing $29.98 SRP and $39.98 SRP (you can, of course, guarantee your copy right away, if you order it using either of the above links). There are no other details available so far at Amazon's entry, but there is an early look at package art (seen below; may not be finalized yet, and could be subject to change). We'll update you further on this title, of course, just as soon as we find out anything more!
