NBC Orders Second Season of "Trial & Error"

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC has renewed "Trial & Error" for 10 episodes for next season.

Said pickup was confirmed by a network spokesperson on Saturday:
Jeff Astrof and Matt Miller serve as writers and executive producers. Jeffrey Blitz also serves as an executive producer. "Trial & Error" is produced by Barge Productions and Good Session Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Season 1 cast included John Lithgow, Nicholas D'Agosto, Sherri Shepherd, Jayma Mays, Steven Boyer and Krysta Rodriguez.

For the season, the 9 p.m. telecast of "Trial & Error" averaged a 1.3 rating in adults 18-49 and 5.5 million viewers overall in "live plus seven day" ratings from Nielsen Media Research and the 9:30 episode averaged a 1.1 in 18-49 and 4.4 million viewers. The series delivered a strong upscale audience, indexing at a 119 at 9 p.m. and a 121 at 9:30 among adults 18-49 in $100K+ homes (with 100 representing an average concentration of those viewers) and a well-educated audience, with indexes of 117 at 9 and 119 at 9:30 among viewers 18-49 with four or more years of college.
