The season finale of Fusion TV’s newest docuseries, “OUTPOST, will air two, all-new, back-to-back episodes this Sunday, May 21. Beginning at 8 PM, “Land Grab,” features Fusion TV correspondents Vytenis Didziulis and Ramon Iriarte in Brazil, Colombia, and French Guiana as they take a look at land rights and usage. In “Facing The Future,” American ballerina Michaela DePrince, currently with the Dutch National Ballet, travels to Cuba to learn how dance has been so important to the Cuban Revolution, how race relations are played out in the form of art, and what is poised to happen now that Cuba is opening up to the U.S. and the world. “OUTPOST” airs Sunday nights with English-language episodes airing on FUSION TV at 8PM (channel listings) and Spanish-language episodes airing on UniMas at 11PM. “OUTPOST” Episode 111 – “Land Grab” (Sunday, May 21 at 8 PM on Fusion TV) – English Language
“Land Grab” looks at land rights and land use by way of the people trying to make change on their own land.
·         Amazon Swat. Vytenis Didziulis travels to the deep Amazon to meet an eco-warrior and his small team taking on the illegal loggers that are destroying the precious jungle.
·         Indigenous Uprising. Ramon Iriarte follows a group of Nasa indigenous people in southwest Colombia as they wage a battle over land rights with wealthy farm owners.
·         French Guiana. Ramon Iriarte travels to the French Guiana, which remains a part of France and the European Union out in the middle of the jungle, to see how French authorities are trying to impose and maintain order

“OUTPOST” Episode 112 – “Facing the Future” (Sunday, May 21 at 11 PM on Fusion TV) – English Language
“Facing the Future” looks at one nation, Cuba, as it undergoes a massive change and attempts to chart its course.
·         Cuba’s Dance Revolution. Michaela DePrince goes to Cuba to learn about how the kind of high-level ballet practiced there has been so important to the Cuban Revolution, the role race relations have played in the art form, and what’s poised to happen now that the country is opening up to the U.S. and the world.


With the help of special guest correspondents Jon Batiste (“Late Show with Stephen Colbert” bandleader, Jon Batiste and Stay Human), Jason Silva (“Brain Games,” “Shots of Awe”), Mike Tyson (former professional boxer), and Carmen Carrera (transgender model, LGBT rights advocate), as well as a series of other young, diverse correspondents, viewers get a chance to experience Latin America like never before, while taking in vibrant and unique stories with authentic local perspectives about subcultures, environmental matters, current events and adventure sports.  Additional guest correspondents include: Mia Maestro (“The Strain”), Michaela DePrince (Dutch National Ballet), Rudy Mancuso (social media star), Maya Gabeira (premier big wave surfer), Sean Reyngoudt (top kitesurfer) and Laila Gohar (New York-based chef). Complementing these guest correspondents are journalists: Kimberly Brooks, Vytenis Didziulis, Gabriel Leigh, Ramon Iriarte, Alice Brennan and Natasha Del Toro.

The inaugural season, the twelve-episode series focuses on stories and locals from Haiti, Brazil, Colombia, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Cuba, Argentina, Honduras, Chile and more. From Oaxaca to Argentina and Easter Island to Paraguay, the docuseries offers an offbeat and immersive exploration of Latin America.

“OUTPOST” Episode 111 – “Drug Wars” (Sunday, May 21 at 8 PM on UniMás) – Spanish Language
“Drug Wars” takes an inside look at the drug war in Latin America, from the cops to the cartels, and how nothing is black and white when it comes to drugs.
·         Mexican Heroin: Vytenis Didziulis travels to the Sierra Madre mountains of Mexico and then to the United States to find out how two countries face a heroin epidemic that doesn’t care about borders.
·         Paraguay’s Marijuana Mecca: Alice Brennan travels to Paraguay, where the drug trade is thriving even as neighboring countries move towards legalization.

“OUTPOST” Episode 112 – “Peace” (Sunday, May 21 at 11 PM on UniMás) – Spanish Language
“PEACE” The year 2017 could be the first year in more than 50 that South America is not burdened by armed conflict. We go to the last rebel camps to find out what’s at stake.
·         The FARC’s final days: Rene Perez travels to Colombia to one of the FARC guerrillas’ last military camps to see how rebels are preparing to transition from a secluded life of rural combat to a modern urban peace. (Alternate talent: Enrique Acevedo)
·         The ELN’s WAR: Ramon Iriarte spends some time with an ELN commando unit in the depths of Colombia’s jungle to find out what it will take for the group to lay down their guns.
