Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency - BBC Shop to Sell 'Season 2' Late This Year! Not broadcasting until October, but available in mid-December on DVD and Blu-ray

While Season 1 was about time travel with body-swapping, this season involves an injection of fantasy. The vast dangers lurking in the fantasy realm navigate a path to Earth, becoming a threat in reality, and it's up to Dirk (Samuel Barnett) and the gang (Elijah Wood, etc.) to stop them in their tracks. But first, they need to find each other... Everything and everyone continues to be connected...from the sterile chambers of the government organization Blackwing, to the sleepy town of Bergsberg and the magical land of Wendimoor. After a few misfires, Dirk Gently steadily finds his footing on the new case to "find The Boy," and with the help of his friends, makes the necessary connections to solve the mystery before it's too late. Just a bit over a week ago, it was announced that the second season's broadcasts would come to BBC America on October 23rd. Now, BBC Home Entertainment has added entries to their BBC Shop online studio store for DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc releases of Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency - Season 2. December 19th is the date these will be available to own from there. The pricing for the DVD version is currently $23.98, and for Blu-ray it's $29.98 SRP (these are discounted prices...the LIST prices APPEAR to be $29.98 SRP and $34.98 SRP, respectively, but we haven't confirmed that yet). Both are 2-disc sets; extras (if any) and box art haven't been made available so far. Also, we're unsure as of this writing whether the above-given date is for a general retail release, or if it will be a BBC Shop exclusive at first (many BBC releases tend to be).
