Special Unit 2, a top-secret division of the Chicago Police Department is tasked with hunting down threatening supernatural creatures known as Links. It's a harrowing, laborious and perilous job chasing monsters, folklore and mythological creatures that evolved from the missing link between man and beast. The clandestine unit is such a mystery that the other police divisions know only to stay out of their way. Airing from 2001-2002 on UPN, the series stars Michael Landes ("Lois and Clark: The New Adventure of Superman"), as renegade Detective Nick O'Malley, Alexondra Lee ("Party of Five"), as Detective Kate Benson, Danny Woodburn, ("Conan"), as a petty thief turned informant and Richard Gant ("Men of a Certain Age"), as Captain Richard Page. Special Unit 2 also features Sean Whalen ("Amazing Live Sea-Monkeys"), and Jonathan Togo ("CSI: Miami"). It was more than two years ago when we first reported that Visual Entertainment, Inc. (VEI) had acquired the DVD rights to Special Unit 2, and fans have been waiting ever since for word about when this will be released.
