Archer - Plans Are Being Dreamt Up for 'The Complete Season 8: Dreamland' No availability date yet, but Amazon is taking advance orders for the DVDs

Archer is an FXX original animated, half-hour comedy. The new season revolves around the international spy turned hardboiled private eye Sterling Archer and his quest to find his partner's killer in 1947 Los Angeles. The case proves to be more difficult than expected after Archer quickly gets mixed up in a deadly game of tug of war between Los Angeles' most powerful crime bosses. Every clue leads Archer further away from his goal and deeper into a mystery involving kidnapping, prostitution and drug addiction. When it aired this past spring, the adult-oriented animated show moved from the FX cable channel to its sister network, the FXX cable channel. The 8 episodes aired over the course of April and May. Now Amazon.com has begun accepting pre-orders for Archer - The Complete Season 8: Dreamland on DVD. This listing is prior to the official Fox Home Entertainment announcement for the item, though, so instead of a street date Amazon merely says "This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." Pricing is available, however, at $29.98 SRP. There are no other details available so far at Amazon's entry, but there is early box art (seen below; this may not be finalized yet, and could be subject to change). There is no Blu-ray Disc pre-order listing...but Fox is moving away from TV-BD releases, so may possibly have decided not to create a Blu version of it this time.
