STUDIO CITY, CA – November 8, 2018 – The people of Christmas, Colorado come together to melt the icy heart of a resort developer to save their town, in “Welcome to Christmas” premiering Sunday, December 9 (8 p.m. ET/PT) on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as part of the network’s annual “Miracles of Christmas” programming event.  Eric Mabius (“Ugly Betty,” “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” “Ugly Betty”) and Jennifer Finnigan (“Salvation”) star.  The movie airs as part of the network’s #1-rated programming event, COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS.  Hallmark Channel is historically the #1 television network in all of Q4.  When real estate developer Madison Lane (Finnigan) visits their town to rule it out as the location for her company’s newest resort, Sheriff Gage McBride (Mabius) and the residents of picturesque Christmas, Colorado must change her mind to ensure the town’s future.  The plan works, and in less than a week Madison finds herself completely entranced with the town and its friendly people, especially the handsome widower sheriff with whom romance begins to blossom.  But when she realizes that building the resort could destroy the small town’s charm, Madison reverses course and soon alienates the very people who made her feel so welcome and wanted.  It’s going to take a miracle, but unless she can come up with a great backup plan for Christmas, Madison will lose the new home she’s found, as well as any chance of happily ever after with Gage. “Welcome to Christmas” is a Muse Entertainment Production in association with Head First Productions.  Executive producers are Jim Head, Joel S. Rice, Michael Prupas, Eric Mabius and Shawn Williamson.  Gary Harvey directed from a script written by Rick Garman, based on the novel The Trouble with Christmas by Debbie Mason.
