TBS's CONAN Heads to Israel for a Special Primetime Episode to Air September 19

TBS's CONAN Heads to Israel for a Special Primetime Episode to Air September 19
TBS’s CONAN will take the show internationally for the seventh time in two years as the popular host travels to Israel.  CONAN Without Borders: Israel will be a primetime special premiering Tuesday, September 19 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS.  O’Brien plans to visit Tel Aviv and Jerusalem among other locales to be announced in the coming weeks.

On Wednesday night’s broadcast O'Brien stated, "Ladies and gentlemen, due to all the division and hatred in this country right now, I’ve decided to leave America for the relative peace, quiet, and sanity of the Middle East. That’s right, I’m going to Israel.”

He added, "I may be in Israel the same week as President Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, who's been sent there to broker a Middle East solution. Well, it occurred to me Kushner and I have the same amount of experience with foreign relations.  I may actually have more experience, so maybe I'll work with the guy."

CONAN Without Borders: Israel marks O'Brien's seventh international adventure in the past two years.  Most recently he traveled to Mexico City, where he shot an episode of CONAN with the help of an all-Mexican staff, crew, guests Vicente Fox and Diego Luna, and an all-Mexican studio audience.  He has made headlines as the first American late-night host to shoot in Cuba in more than 50 years. He became the first American late-night personality ever to host a show from Armenia as well as South Korea. O’Brien has joined former First Lady Michelle Obama at the international Air Force Base in Doha, Qatar, to perform for the troops stationed overseas. O’Brien recently did a week of shows from San Diego during Comic-Con® International and will perform an additional week of shows November 3-6 from the famous Apollo Theater in New York. In previous years, O'Brien has done special shows from New York, Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta.

CONAN airs Monday-Thursday at 11 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS. The show is produced by Conaco LLC, with Jeff Ross serving as executive producer.
