WE tv shared today an emotional clip of Angela Simmons from tonight’s episode of “Growing Up Hip Hop,” airing on Thursday, January 23rd at 9:00pm ET/8:00pm CT. During her heartbreaking conversation with life coach Chenoa Maxwell, Angela struggles with how to handle telling her three-year-old son that his father, Sutton Tennyson, has passed away.

About Growing Up Hip Hop Season 5
This season, Angela Simmons (Rev Run’s daughter) goes head-to-head with Romeo Miller (Master P’s son) and Bow Wow will be back in her life. Vanessa Simmons’ acting career is skyrocketing and her business is flourishing but she feels disconnected from her family. Jojo Simmons and Tanice are gearing up to walk down the aisle however they are not on the same page. Miller is also riding the wave of his recent theatrical release but when he gets a job offer in Australia, Master P finds himself left high and dry. Egypt Criss (Sandra “Pepa” Denton’s daughter) is newly engaged to Sam Mattick and on an all-time high but her cousin Tahira “Tee Tee” Francis and Tyran Moore (Pepa Denton’s son) will stop at nothing to show Egypt how toxic Sam is. Meanwhile, Damon “Boogie” Dash’s (Damon Dash’s son) and his sister Ava are ready to take down their father, Dame who is expecting a child with Raquel “Rocky” Horn. Briana Latrise (Mary J. Blige’s stepdaughter) faces off with Angela and has a new love interest but in order to move forward with her new love she has to face her past. Twist is ready for the world to hear his new music and his secret love is revealed, but he must also deal with legal trouble. Can Twist and Bow both break the curse these “Lil’s” seem to face when trying to transition to success as adults? Eric “Lil Eazy-E” Wright is still at odds with his family and friends over his father’s death.
