Excerpts:
- “They potentially thought that somebody was blackmailing me… because I was gay.... That somehow I was having this gay affair, which I was absolutely not. In my mind, I thought, ‘I’ve lost Elizabeth, and now I’m losing Lois, and I’m losing my family. Everything that really means anything to me. How can it be that I have this thing inside of me that I can’t get rid of?’”
- “I would say that my problem was that I was trying to be straight when I was gay.” https://bit.ly/38vDGGQ
- On if he is glad he has come out: “Very relieved.” https://bit.ly/38sbiFN
- On coming out to his 88-year-old mother: “She was very comforting to me.” https://bit.ly/2YF2oQw
