‘ELLEN’S GREATEST NIGHT OF GIVEAWAYS’ CONCLUDED TONIGHT WITH SPECIAL GUESTS JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE AND JASON MOMOA SHARING INCREDIBLE GIFTS WITH INSPIRING PEOPLE

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – Dec. 12, 2019 – “Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways” wrapped up three nights of holiday giving tonight with special guests Justin Timberlake and Jason Momoa, sharing amazing gifts with deserving people who needed a little extra cheer this year.

First, Ellen and Timberlake introduced her audience to the Bender family from Troy, Ohio – dad Stan, wife Dee Dee, daughters Madyson and Ireland and their son, Tag. Stan was diagnosed with ALS three years ago and his health continues to decline. The family’s perseverance in the face of Stan’s horrible illness brought everyone to tears. Ellen and Timberlake surprised the family with $400,000 from Green Dot Bank that will help the family for years to come.

Then Jason Momoa headed to Santa Monica, Calif., where he surprised Bryan and Sofia Kidwell. Bryan was injured in a tragic accident at the beach last year, which left him paralyzed from the neck down. Despite the odds, Bryan has learned to walk again and the two are hoping to start a family soon. Momoa surprised them with a trip anywhere in the world and $100,000 from Green Dot Bank. In-studio, Ellen had a surprise for the lifeguards, hospital and rehabilitation staff who saved Bryan’s life and got him back on his feet, literally.

Next, Timberlake and Ellen shared holiday gifts with the audience, including a $500 Fandango gift card, Victorinox Swiss Army Alliance Watch, $750 Harley-Davidson gift card, $600 Southwest gift card and six-day stay at Garza Blanca Resorts and Hotels in Mexico.

Finally, Timberlake had a surprise for the acclaimed Stax Music Academy from his hometown of Memphis, Tenn., and Stax student Christopher Clark who dreams of continuing his music education. Timberlake and Ellen surprised him with tickets to the upcoming Grammy Awards, a scholarship to Grammy Camp and $50,000 from Green Dot Bank to set him up for the future. They also gave $250,000 to Stax Academy, courtesy of Green Dot Bank, which serves as a safe haven and renowned after school music program for over a hundred kids in Memphis.

Ellen DeGeneres, Kevin A. Leman II, Mary Connelly, Ed Glavin, Andy Lassner, Derek Westervelt, Daniel Norris and Jeff Kleeman serve as executive producers for the special. The special is produced by Warner Horizon Unscripted Television, A Very Good Production and Telepictures.
